Malkin and J. Staal. Malkin is now tied for first with S. Stamkos for most points in the NHL. Lately him and his fellow penguins have been getting it done. The big stand out is the return of Staal who is performing better than he ever has before. Stated by NHL.com Jordan Staal is at his best points per game average in his career. he has tallied 33 points in his past 44 games. When I look at the power rankings I feel with the play lately the penguins should be atop the number one spots. They have been playing great lately and even blowing opponents out as they did over this weekend, handing the Avalanche a 5-1 loss. So who should be at the top of the NHL power rankings.
